Description and Basic Information ::

| On any given weekend, Parisians may be found participating in the local favorite sport - petanque, or boules. These amateur players will stake out any space of ground where they may set up a court to play this game with small steel balls. This a game similar to bowling outdoors; however, some players loft their balls to get closer to the target. |
